Join our wonderful office team at Windwhistle School where no two days are the same!

As senior administrator, you will supervise administrative processes and support staff in the busy school office. You will be responsible for undertaking administrative, financial, and organisational duties that support the operation and management of the school in a positive and effective way, maintaining confidentiality at all times so you will need to be an organised multi-tasker with good attention to detail and good people skills. 

You will:

• supervise the day-to-day work of the administrative function of the school office, prioritising duties to meet daily, weekly, monthly termly and annual dead-lines

• contribute towards the planning, development and organisation of the support service systems, procedures and policies 

• supervise, train and develop administrative staff as appropriate

• oversee the provision of effective office and reception services as one of the first points of contact in the school. Maintaining courteous, polite, efficient and effective front-of-house service for all parents, pupils, staff, governors and visitors, and in accordance with safeguarding procedures. 

As part of the senior administrator role, you will also become the clerk to the governors and a key contributor to the effectiveness and smooth running of the local governing body. This role offers extra working hours for which you will claim additional remuneration at £12 per hour. As clerk, you will attend six meetings a year (one a term) in person, which are usually held during the evening. You will be able to meet the clerk administration requirements and the typing up of minutes at home offering extra flexibility to fulfil the role.
